Sushi tastes fresher in Tokyo, even at the airport. Note that the pickled ginger is not dyed pink, and there is no plastic "grass" decoration nor a California Roll. But the chopsticks are the cheap horrid kind.

| The Japanese are all about cleanliness & courtesy. Hot towels and handi-wipes everywhere. Same in the better Vietnamese restaurants. Both countries screen for SARS at immigration; the other 4 I visited did not. | ||

| So is sushi cheaper in Japan than it is here? I've often wondered if it's more expensive in North America because it's "exotic". | ||
