(1) A sudden sculpture, in which I see a dragon, but you may see anything else. Thin slabs of white clay, one cut square, one torn & crumpled. Melted Moss glaze, with red and white painted on the tips. Wandering Fire studio, 2004. - 3 voters (4.67) BAR
(2) Pieces of a mobile sculpture to be hung from tree branches. White stoneware slabs, draped over PVC pipe sections. Mustard, turquoise and blue/purple glazes. John Jarvis studio, 2005. - 1 voter (4.00) BAR
(3) Wall hanging, side view. Porcelain slab, hand-built. White clay with chrome-green layers rolled in. Green edges glazed clear; other surfaces glazed Albany Brown. John Jarvis studio, 2005. - 1 voter (4.00) BAR
(4) A tree, a "happy accident" and the best of my "early works". Lottie made the little girl climbing out of the hollow trunk and I made the rose. Technique for the tree: White clay, wheel-thrown as a cup. The irregular edges came from underconfident use of a wire to trim the top, and immediately suggested a tree. Bark carved with a square-tip and a pin tool, then filled with brown glaze. Yellow glaze overall. Girl: hand-built. Melted Moss glaze. Rose: hand-built. Red glaze. Wandering Fire studio, 2003. - 2 voters (3.50) BAR
(5) Sculpture complaining about cars in the Don Valley. Slab of white clay, text carved, stem & leaves pressed in. Slab placed over form (empty box of baby wipes, to be precise). Black glaze for the road, red glaze in the stem, burnt orange in the leaves, yellow overall. Wandering Fire studio, 2004. - 1 voter (3.00) BAR

transpixel Large vase. Slabs of black clay, formed loosely around a yogurt tub and newspaper. Many hours of fretting. Dark blue clear glaze makes this a black reminiscent of Darth Vader's helmet. Wandering Fire studio, 2004. transpixel
